Rosalyn Charles
Rosalyn Charles is the principal and owner at RC Charles ESQuire, a family law firm located in West Orange, New Jersey. An attorney with over 25 years of litigation experience, she has practiced in both the public and private sector and has tried more than 100 jury trials throughout her career.
Her firm’s primary focus resolves issues important and relevant to the intra-familial relationship. However, as an accomplished criminal litigator, Ms. Charles continues to handle matters which include both state and municipal criminal defense work.
A former Municipal Court Judge, she served the citizens of Irvington, New Jersey for 4 years and acted as its Chief Presiding Judge for a period of that time. She also held major management assignments with the Essex County Prosecutor as an Assistant Prosecutor/Director of Narcotic Investigations and supervised the Homicide Cold Case Unit.
Rosalyn has shared her expertise on television, radio and with the print media. More recently she can be seen on various episodes of TVOne’s “Fatal Attraction” and you can view her contributions to Black Enterprise Magazine’s Love& Money. In the past she provided live commentary on a number of TruTV’s (formerly Court TV) broadcasts of “In Session”, Fox News and guest hosted on WWRL Radio’s legal programing.
She is a graduate of Spelman College and Seton Hall University School of Law. A lifelong resident of New Jersey, she is “a Jersey Girl” at heart. Rosalyn is an avid golfer, a fitness aspirant and a lover of anything music, travel and dining out.
